CDD Computer Lab Refresh Report

Describe your overall impressions of the condition of the lab:
Clean, plenty of room.
Was all of the computer hardware functional (i.e. working mice, keyboards, monitors)?
How many computers are working/not working in the lab?
All ten are refreshed. Two computers (#1 & #3) need to be “activated”. To do that, we need Internet access, which was not available.
Did all of the computers have working Ghost Images? Describe any problems encountered:
All but one (#5) had working images. We had to attach an external DVD drive to copy a new image to the hard drive’s second partition since that machine’s DVD drive would only read CDs, not DVDs. One machine (#6) had to be booted from a floppy.
Were you able to configure all of the computers with Internet access? Explain the process along with any complications:
We didn’t have Internet access from any machine; all the hubs in the room seemed to be functioning. We need to ask CriHelp’s IT person about this.
Did the Computer Lab have a functional Printer shared over the network?
Did you need any additional equipment or support?
How much time did you spend on the Refresh?
About 1 hour.
Do you have any additional comments or recommendations? (Include problems such as gaining access to the lab, etc…)?
There was a class still finishing up when we arrived – it was apparently supposed to finish at 10am but ran late about 15 minutes.
